The Westerveld Route (yellow) from Driehuis station to Santpoort-Noord station passes through Westerveld Memorial Park. A walk through this cemetery with the first crematorium in the Netherlands is a special experience. The former 'estate' was bought by a few wealthy Amsterdam residents at the end of the 19th century and they founded a cemetery there. The well-known landscape architect Zocher was responsible for the design. Now you can stroll along beautiful paths in a calm, green oasis.
