Wandelt u de Tienhovense Kanaalroute (paars) vanaf station Hollandse Rading, dan volgt eerst de kaarsrechte rading tussen Holland en Utrecht. Bij het vroegere sluiswachtershuis ‘Anno 1824’ van het Tienhovensch Kanaal slaat u scherp rechtsaf. Langs het kanaal loopt u richting Zwarte Berg. Dit is het domein van de beschermde kamsalamander. U keert terug over de prachtige slingerlanen van het stille Einde Gooi (rondwandeling ‘Einde Gooi’ van Natuurmonumenten).
