All routes from this starting point pass through the North Holland Dune Reserve, managed by the drinking-water company PWN. The compulsory entry ticket is available from the ticket machine.
- The North Bakkum Walk (blue) passes Zeeveld Dune Farm, now Transitium ZeeVELD, which was already inhabited when the sea still flowed freely in and out here. The farm stood on a raised line of dunes. King William I (1722–1843), who owned much land here, enjoyed hunting here. You walk around the Vogelenzang Pond, named after the estate manager of the provincial estates who had it dug.
- The Schoonwater Valley Walk (orange) passes through the catchment area of the Oer-IJ and the Schoonwater Valley, a nature area with two water-storage basins. This route is closed during the breeding season (1 March–1 July). No dogs allowed.
- The Dune and Polder Route (purple) crosses the rolling landscape of the nollen: wind-blown sand hills or small drifting dunes named after the West Frisian word for dune. The most beautiful section of the route follows the municipal boundary of the former manorial estates. In the Middle Ages, noble landowners called their domain a heerlijkheid, or manor. This region had four of them. This route is closed during the breeding season (1 March–1 July). No dogs allowed.
- Various PWN dune routes.
