Geitenboerderij (Goat Farm) Starting Point 87 afbeelding

Routes from this starting point

Farm Walk (orange)
Unpaved path (partly)
4.3km

The route takes you from the car park to the Ridammerhoeve, which has been operating as a goat farm since 1988. The biodynamic farm is a fun place for young and old, for everything from goat's ice cream and goat's cheese to recreational activities and goat yoga. Due to the combination of recreation with various educational and care activities, the goat farm is a busy attraction in the park. In the immediate vicinity, guests can also enjoy a nice walk or get lost in the maze.

The farm is surrounded by a varied natural forest with mostly linden, sweet chestnut and beech trees. In autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful colours, the mushrooms and chestnuts, and from early spring, the ground is covered with a carpet of flowers. If you look closely, you will see woodpeckers and various species of birds of prey and owls among the trees. You might even get lucky and spot a kingfisher.

  • The Boerderijwandeling or Farm Walk (orange) connects the two farms in the Amsterdamse Bos park: the old Meerzicht farm and the new Ridammerhoeve farm. Meerzicht is located on the edge of the Nieuwe Meer lake and was a tearoom as early as 1857. The edge of the forest along the ring canal of the Haarlemmermeer is a wind buffer that protects the forest from storm winds coming from the open area of Schiphol Airport. The walk continues along the hidden Vogeleiland (Bird Island). Please note that dogs are not allowed here. This botanical park was built as early as 1940 and is a paradise for lovers of native flora and insects.
